iPhone 5 ships on 21 September to 9 countries.

  As rumored earlier, a new iteration of iPhone had just been announced today. iPhone 5 comes with iOS 6, 4" screen (stretched vertically), new Apple A6 chip, Lightning dock connector, LTE connection (worldwide), and much more. The official technical specifications can be found here or you can view in Table form at GSMArena.

For those who stayed in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, you can pre-order on 14 September. Shipments starts from 21 September. 20 more countries are expected to have iPhone 5 in the coming month. By December, iPhone 5 will be available in 100 countries.

The current user of the following Apple devices could upgrade to iOS 6 for free on 19 September: iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, iPad 2, the new iPad, and 4th generation iPod touch.

iPhone 5 is not the only new device announced, the new iPod nano made its debut with Bluetooth, a 2.5" screen, and a TM tuner, together with 5th generation iPod touch with colours. Oh yeah, and EarPod.

Looks like iPhone 5 pre-order for Singapore is not available yet since it is "Pending for agency approval". Similar situation also appears in other Asia countries.

Update (4 Oct):
It had started. It is rumoured that Malaysia is getting iPhone 5 on 19 October, from Maxis. Busted!

Update (1 Nov):
Who else could it be? Maxis has reportedly leaked iPhone 5 launch date in Malaysia - 5 November 2012 in Midvalley!  Busted again!

Update (1 Nov):  Finally, December 14 for Malaysians, iPhone 5 is expected to be available at 3 major carriers. With the exception of DiGi, Maxis and Celcom have already open registration of interest for iPhone 5.

Apple event 23 October 2012

I am not going to write much about this, this Apple event basically features a smaller variant of the iPad, iPad Mini. They come with a form factor close to 7" (7.9" to be exact), which the late Steve Jobs once called them dead on arrival . Besides the iPad Mini ( comparison ), new revision of iMac (certainly thin, and with Fusion Drive), 13" MacBook Pro (no discrete graphics though), Mac Mini , iBooks , and even a "newer" iPad (4th generation, 3rd generation no longer available ) are announced together. Glitch at Microsoft Store Singapore: $5 Office 2013 Pro

SOURCE: Hardware Zone Singapore At about 7pm today, a Hardware Zone Singapore forum poster named Bluefreak reported that Microsoft Office Professional 2013 is on sale at Singapore Microsoft Online Store for $5. Unfortunately, the relevant product page has been quickly taken down, suggesting that this is most likely a technical glitch. Nevertheless, some users manage to purchase and obtain the product keys, but it could only be activated when Office 2013 is officially released. Let us see whether Microsoft will honor the deal.
