Galaxy Nexus coming soon to Malaysia & Singapore

At first glance, Galaxy Nexus has a lower spec compared to Galaxy SII, but a mobile phone is not just about the hardware, as Galaxy Nexus is the first phone to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This is a major selling point of the device, introducing a pure Google experience, no Sense, no Touchwiz, just vanilla Android. You can find the technical specifications here and a benchmark report here. Notable specifications includes NFC and a 4.65" HD screen (not Super AMOLED Plus though).

This device was first available in the UK on 17 November 2011. As of today (5 Jan 2012), Galaxy Nexus has not reach Malaysia & Singapore. The launch date for Malaysia rumoured to be 13 January 2012, just one week before the Chinese New Year. In the meantime, the major telcos in Malaysia tweeted the news about possible offering of Galaxy Nexus (DiGi, Celcom), with the exception of Maxis. The price plan from Celcom was even leaked. We could safely assume that the RRP for Galaxy Nexus is RM2099. Singapore wise, the expected date has been delayed to February with RRP S$948, which is about RM200 more.

Update: You can get it from DiGi online store now and it will be delivered on 13 Jan onwards. RRP is RM2099 and DiGi is offering the device for as low as RM1399 with contract.

Update2: If you want to get Galaxy Nexus without contract, you can get it now from Samsung Elite Partners. (SOURCE Samsung U-nivez)

Update3: Official plan from Celcom is available now, from as low as RM1348. (VIA Amanz)

Update4: Finally, Galaxy Nexus is available in Singapore starting 11 Feb 2012 with RRP S$948 (~RM 2290), without contract.
