IPv6 Day

June 8, 2011 is World IPv6 Day. What is it, you ask? In summary, 232 IPv4 web addresses ran out and the internet needs a new protocol that gives many more addresses (for IPv6, 2128 to be exact). Not all users are ready for this and thus a smaller scale test is needed. On this day, major web companies along with other participants would enable IPv6 on their websites for 24 hours. You probably will not notice any difference at all, but it is good to know that someone are working on this issue. So, are you ready for it? Test your machine here. If you have connectivity issues, you can read the solutions here.

And for the curious ones.
